India Amends Export Rules: Stone Aggregate and River Sand Exports to Maldives Approved for 2003-2004 with Caps
The Government of India, under the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, has amended the ITC (HS) Classification of Export and Import items for 2002-2007. Effective from April 24, 2003, the amendments allow the export of stone aggregate and river sand to the Maldives for the year 2003-2004. The export quantities are capped at 1,90,000 MTs for stone aggregate and 2,10,000 MTs for river sand. These exports require a no objection certificate from the Chemical and Allied Product Export Promotion Council (CAPEXIL), which will monitor the annual ceiling and report quarterly to the DGFT.
