Central Government Amends Export and Import Policy 2002-07, Updates Criteria for Export Performance-Based Status
The Central Government has amended the Export and Import Policy, 2002-07, allowing the grant of status based on export performance within the current licensing year, provided export proceeds are realized. The criteria for achieving export performance levels have been specified for different categories: Export House, Trading House, Star Trading House, and Super Star Trading House, with respective FOB/FOR values required. Special provisions apply to units in specific sectors and regions, allowing them to achieve Export House status with lower thresholds. Exports on a re-export basis are excluded from recognition, while exports by subsidiaries are counted towards the parent company's performance.
