Extension of shipment period for onion exports permits additional time to ship previously allocated quantities. The Central Government, under the Foreign Trade (Development & Regulation) Act and Export and Import Policy, has extended the shipment deadline for the unutilized balance of onions from the allocation of 50,000 metric tonnes released earlier, permitting shipment of that balance up to 30th September, 2001.
