of <h1>India Revises SCOMET Export Controls: Item 7C001 Updated from 6500 Mtops to 28000 Mtops Under Foreign Trade Policy.</h1> The Government of India has issued an amendment to the SCOMET items under the Foreign Trade Policy, effective from March 31, 2001. This amendment, made under the Foreign Trade (Development and Regulation) Act, 1992, revises the ITC (HS) Classifications of Export and Import Items for 1997-2002. Specifically, in Appendix 3 to Schedule 2, the figure for item No. 7C001 (i) and (ii) is updated from 6500 Mtops to 28000 Mtops. This change is enacted in the public interest and is officially communicated by the Director General of Foreign Trade.
