Export Rules Updated: Wild Plant Exports Now Need NOC from State Authorities, With Some Exemptions Per Foreign Trade Policy.
The notification amends the export conditions for plants and plant portions obtained from the wild under the Foreign Trade Policy 1997-2002. Specifically, it modifies Condition No. (i) against entry S.No. 27 in Schedule 2 Appendix 1, and Code No. 1211 in Table B, to require a 'No Objection Certificate' (NOC) from relevant state authorities such as the Regional Deputy Director (Wildlife), Chief Conservator of Forests, or Divisional Forest Officers for the export of these items. This amendment excludes extracts, derivatives, and value-added herbal formulations from the NOC requirement and is issued in the public interest.
