<h1>India Revises Minimum CIF Value for Imported Steel Items Under Chapter 72 of ITC(HS) for Two Months</h1> The Government of India has amended the Foreign Trade Policy 1997-2002 to reduce the minimum cost, insurance, and freight (c.i.f.) value for imported steel items. This amendment affects specific items listed under Chapter 72 of the ITC(HS) Classification of Export and Import Items. The revised minimum c.i.f. values for items such as H.R. Coils, HR Sheets, CR Coils/Sheets, Tinplates, Electrical Sheets, Plates, and Alloy Steel Bars & Rods are specified. These new values will be effective for two months from the notification date, after which they will be withdrawn. This change is issued in the public interest.
