of <h1>India Amends ITC(HS) Code: Sodium Metal Now Freely Importable Under Notification No. 30(RE-99) 1997-2002</h1> The Government of India, through the Ministry of Commerce, has issued Notification No. 30(RE-99) 1997-2002, dated October 4, 1999, amending the ITC(HS) Classifications of Export and Import Items for the period 1997-2002. This amendment, published under the Foreign Trade (Development and Regulation) Act, 1992, designates sodium metal, classified under Exim Code 280511 00, as a freely importable item. This change is implemented in the interest of the public and is documented by the Director General of Foreign Trade and the Deputy Director General of Foreign Trade.
