<h1>India Updates Export Rules for Iron Ore Rejects; Limits Set at 10% of Import Raw Material, Size Under 6mm</h1> The Government of India, under the Ministry of Commerce, has amended the ITC (HS) Classifications for the export of iron ore as per Notification No. 23(RE-99)/1997-2002, dated August 3, 1999. This amendment adds a new entry under Code No. 2601 for the export of iron ore rejects, specifically those generated from the manufacturing process using imported raw materials. The export quantity of such rejects is limited to 10% of the imported raw material, and the size of the rejected pellet chips must be less than 6 mm. This amendment is issued in the public interest.
