of <h1>India Updates Import Rules for Mulberry Raw Silk: Certified 2A+ Grades Exempt from Silk Board Verification Under Exim Code 500200.00.</h1> The Government of India, through its Ministry of Commerce, has amended the import conditions for Mulberry Raw Silk under Exim Code 500200.00. For consignments shipped before May 19, 1999, raw silk graded 2A and above, certified by any foreign agency, will be cleared without Central Silk Board verification. This applies even if the Board previously disputed the grading. Consignments without foreign certification and found below grade 2A by the Central Silk Board will be deemed non-compliant with import policy and handled by customs authorities. This notification is issued in the public interest by the Director General of Foreign Trade.
