India Updates Export-Import Policy: Hotels, Travel Agents as Export Houses, Electronics Hardware Changes in Paragraph 9.9

The Government of India has issued amendments to the Export and Import Policy, 1997-2002, under the Foreign Trade (Development and Regulation) Act, 1992. Key changes include the addition of recognized hotels, travel agents, tour operators, and tourist transport operators as Export Houses. References in paragraph 9.9 have been updated, and electronic hardware is now included in paragraph 9.9(b). Paragraphs 9.9(d) and (f) are deleted, and restrictions are placed on exporting products from job worker premises through third parties. The expression "no minimum stipulation for electronics hardware" is replaced with "positive NFEP" in Appendix-1. These amendments are issued in public interest.
