of <h1>Customs Notification Amendment: Changes to Duty Exemptions and Rates from April 11, 2007; New 5% Duty for Specific Imports</h1> The amendment to Notification No. 21/2002-Customs, dated March 1, 2002, introduces changes effective from April 11, 2007. It involves modifications to the customs duty exemptions and rates for specified goods under Chapters 1 to 99. Specifically, a new clause is added to include goods specified against serial No. 3A from January 1, 2008. The entry for S.No. 3 is revised to allow imports up to ten thousand metric tonnes annually, with the inclusion of imports under S.No. 3A for the 2007-08 financial year. A new entry, S.No. 3A, is also introduced, specifying a 5% duty rate for certain goods.
