<h1>Commissioner of Customs appointed to adjudicate DRI cases under Customs Act, 1962 involving Show Cause Notice.</h1> The Central Board of Excise and Customs (CBEC) has appointed the Commissioner of Customs (Export) at Jawahar Custom House, Maharashtra, as the common adjudicating authority for certain Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) cases. This appointment, under the Customs Act, 1962, authorizes the Commissioner to adjudicate matters related to a Show Cause Notice involving M/s. Star Gold Exports and M/s. Techno International, among others. The notice, issued by the Additional Director General of the DRI Mumbai Zonal Unit, pertains to an investigation initiated in 2005-06.
