This appointment, under the Customs Act, 1962, enables the Commissioner to act as the adjudicating authority for various customs offices across India, including those in New Delhi, Noida, Ludhiana, Gujarat, Chennai, Cochin, and Mangalore. This designation pertains to adjudicating matters related to a Show Cause Notice issued by the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence, Delhi Zonal Unit, on October 17, 2006.
