of <h1>RBI Amends Foreign Exchange Regulations, Modifies Provisions in Sub-regulations 5(2), 5(3)(i), 5(3)(ii), and 5(5).</h1> The Reserve Bank of India issued the Foreign Exchange Management (Transfer or issue of Security by a Person Resident outside India) (Fifth Amendment) Regulations, 2005, effective from its publication in the official Gazette. This amendment modifies the 2000 regulations by omitting certain provisos and commas in sub-regulations 5(2), 5(3)(i), 5(3)(ii), and 5(5). These changes are made under the authority granted by the Foreign Exchange Management Act, 1999. The principal regulations were initially published on May 3, 2000, and have been amended several times prior to this notification.
