<h1>RBI Doubles Investment Limit in Foreign Securities to $100M; Raises Net Worth Cap to 50% Under Regulation 6.</h1> The Reserve Bank of India issued an amendment to the Foreign Exchange Management (Transfer or Issue of any Foreign Security) Regulations, 2000. Effective from its publication date, the amendment increases the permissible limit for investment in foreign securities from US $50 million to US $100 million under Regulation 6, sub-regulation (2). Additionally, it raises the limit on investments not exceeding a certain percentage of net worth from 25% to 50% under sub-regulation (3). This amendment, known as the Foreign Exchange Management (Transfer or Issue of any Foreign Security) (Third Amendment) Regulations, 2002, was published in the Official Gazette.
