of <h1>Reserve Bank of India Updates Rules on Asset Remittance Abroad, Effective April 2016, u/s 47 of FEMA 1999.</h1> The Foreign Exchange Management (Remittance of Assets) Regulations, 2000, issued by the Reserve Bank of India, governs the remittance of assets outside India by individuals, whether residents or non-residents. These regulations were established under the authority of Section 47 of the Foreign Exchange Management Act, 1999. The notification was published in the Official Gazette on May 5, 2000, and has since been superseded by Notification 13 (R)/2016-RB, effective from April 1, 2016.
