of <h1>RBI's 2000 Forex Rules for Resident and Non-Resident Deposits Replaced by 2016 Notification.</h1> The Foreign Exchange Management (Deposit) Regulations, 2000, issued by the Reserve Bank of India, were established under the Foreign Exchange Management Act, 1999. These regulations govern deposit transactions between residents of India and non-residents. The notification was published in the Official Gazette of India on May 5, 2000, under G.S.R. No. 388(E). These regulations were later superseded by Notification 5(R)/2016-RB, dated April 1, 2016.
