of <h1>Central Government Appoints Madras Commissioner as Common Adjudicating Authority for Tiruchirapalli under Customs Act, 1962, Section 4.</h1> The Central Government, under the authority of sub-section (1) of section 4 of the Customs Act, 1962, has appointed the Commissioner of Customs in Madras to also serve as the Commissioner of Customs in Tiruchirapalli. This decision is formalized in Notification No. 240/87-Cus, dated June 18, 1987, designating the same individual to fulfill the roles in both locations as a Common Adjudicating Authority.
