of <h1>Coastal vessels exempted from specific Customs Act provisions under Notification No. 43/97-Cus, superseded by Notification No. 56/2016.</h1> The Central Government, exercising powers under section 98A of the Customs Act, 1962, issued Notification No. 43/97-Cus. (N.T.) on September 11, 1997, exempting vessels carrying exclusively coastal goods from certain provisions of the Customs Act. Specifically, these vessels are exempt from sections 92, 93, 94, 97, and sub-section (1) of section 98. This notification was later superseded by Notification No. 56/2016 on April 27, 2016.
