of <h1>New Customs Notification Delegates Duties to Andaman and Nicobar Police Officers, Superseding 1966 Order</h1> Notification No. 23/88-Cus. (N.T.), dated April 12, 1988, issued by the Central Government under the Customs Act, 1962, supersedes Notification No. 132-Cus. from June 25, 1966. It delegates specific customs functions to designated officers in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Officers of Police at or above the rank of Assistant Sub-Inspector are assigned duties under sections 100 to 104, 106, 107, and 110, excluding Port Blair. Head Constables and Constables are assigned duties under sections 100, 102, 106, and 110, also excluding Port Blair.
