of <h1>Central Government rescinds additional duties on imported Transformer Oil under Heading 2710, effective February 2, 2022.</h1> The Central Government, under the Customs Tariff Act, 1975, imposed additional duties on imported Transformer Oil classified under Heading 2710, effective from September 22, 1978. This was deemed necessary in the public interest and regulated by the Transformer Oil (Additional Duty) Rules, 1978. The notification was later amended in 2015 to specify the classification under Heading 2710 instead of within Chapter 27. This notification was rescinded by Notification No. 04/2022-Customs effective February 2, 2022.
