of <h1>Central Govt Amends Excise Notification: Excludes Nylon Monofilament Yarn, Revises Cotton Goods Rates to 4% & 8%</h1> The Central Government has amended Notification No. 29/2004-Central Excise, dated July 9, 2004, under the powers conferred by the Central Excise Act, 1944. The amendments include changes to the table in the notification. For S.No.5, the entry now excludes nylon monofilament yarn of 210 deniers and nylon fish net fabrics. Additionally, S.No.7 has been revised to specify goods under heading 56, excluding certain items, with a distinction between cotton goods not containing other textile materials and others, with applicable excise rates of 4% and 8%, respectively.
