of <h1>India Amends Customs Tariff: Zero Duty on Edible Vegetable Oils and Certain Goods Under Section 25(1) Customs Act 1962.</h1> The Government of India, through the Ministry of Finance's Department of Revenue, has amended Notification No. 20/2006-Customs, dated March 1, 2006. This amendment, effective March 1, 2007, introduces new entries in the customs tariff schedule. Specifically, it adds S.No. 63 and 64, which stipulate a nil standard rate for edible grade vegetable oils and their fractions under chapters 1507 to 1515, and for all goods under tariff item 2613 10 00. This change is made under the authority of Section 25(1) of the Customs Act, 1962, in the public interest.
