of <h1>Govt amends Notification No. 49/96-Customs; adds '349' to table entry under Customs Act, 1962, effective March 1, 2007.</h1> The Government of India, through the Ministry of Finance, has issued Notification No. 32/2007-Customs, amending Notification No. 49/96-Customs dated July 23, 1996. This amendment, effective from March 1, 2007, involves an update to the table in the original notification. Specifically, in the table against serial number 1, column 2, item II, the figure '349' is added after '247.' This change is made under the authority of the Customs Act, 1962, in the public interest. The principal notification was last amended on January 8, 2004.
