of <h1>New Customs Exchange Rates for Import Currency Conversion Effective February 1, 2007, Under Customs Act, 1962</h1> Notification No. 1/2007 - Customs (N.T.), dated January 24, 2007, issued by the Board under the Customs Act, 1962, establishes new exchange rates for converting specified foreign currencies into Indian Rupees for imported goods, effective February 1, 2007. This supersedes the previous notification No. 134/2006-NT-Customs. The rates are detailed in two schedules: Schedule I lists rates for one unit of various currencies, including the US Dollar at 44.45 and the Euro at 57.65, while Schedule II specifies the rate for 100 units of Japanese Yen at 36.60.
