<h1>Amendment to Excise Notification Modifies Conditions for User Industries Based on Operational Duration Effective January 2007</h1> The Central Government has amended Notification No. 22/2003-Central Excise, dated March 31, 2003, concerning imports by Export Oriented Units (EOU), Software Technology Parks (STP), and Electronic Hardware Technology Parks (EHTP). The amendment, effective from January 15, 2007, modifies paragraph 5, condition (ii), by replacing 'the user industry' with 'in case of user industry other than those which are in existence for less than two years, they.' This change aims to address specific conditions for user industries based on their operational duration.
