of <h1>India Exempts Certain Nepalese Goods from 4% Customs Duty with Conditions; Rescinded in 2011.</h1> The notification exempts certain manufactured goods imported from Nepal from a 4% additional customs duty. Issued on August 8, 2006, under Notification No. 78/2006-Customs, it applies to goods specified in the notification's table when imported into India. The exemption is contingent on conditions such as goods being manufactured in Nepal using Nepalese or Indian materials, or undergoing significant processing in Nepal. Importers must provide a certificate of origin certified by Nepal's designated agency. The notification was rescinded by Notification No. 108/2011 on December 5, 2011.
