of <h1>Vice President of India Exempt from Customs Duties on Personal and Official Imports under Sea Customs Act, 1878.</h1> The notification dated March 29, 1958, exempts the Vice President of India from paying customs duties on certain imports under the Sea Customs Act, 1878. This exemption applies to articles specified in the schedule, which include items for personal use, wear, or consumption by the Vice President or family members, food, drink, and tobacco for household or guest consumption, furnishings for official residences, and motor cars for the Vice President's use. This notification was superseded by a later notification effective July 1, 2017.
