of <h1>Countries Designated as Developing for Safeguard Duties u/s 8B of Customs Tariff Act, 1975.</h1> The notification dated December 14, 1998, under Notification No. 103/98-Customs, lists countries designated as developing for the purposes of Section 8B of the Customs Tariff Act, 1975. This notification, later superseded by Notification No. 19/2016-Customs (N.T.) on February 5, 2016, includes countries such as Afghanistan, Algeria, Brazil, China, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Mexico, Nigeria, Pakistan, and Vietnam, among others. These countries are recognized for the application of safeguard duties as per the specified section of the Customs Tariff Act. The list was amended by Notification No. 62/99 on May 13, 1999.
