<h1>India Exempts Cinematographic Films from Customs Duties in 2003; Exemption Rescinded in 2010 Under Notification No. 18/2010.</h1> The Central Government of India issued Notification No. 33/2003-Customs on March 1, 2003, exempting cinematographic films, exposed and developed, from certain customs duties when imported into India. This exemption applies to duties specified under the First Schedule of the Customs Tariff Act, 1975, additional duties under section 3, and special additional duties under section 3A. The exemption covers duties exceeding the value of the film print's cost, including freight and insurance charges. This notification was later rescinded by Notification No. 18/2010 on February 27, 2010.
