of <h1>Customs Act Update: Revised Tariff Rates for Upholstery and Fabrics Effective January 1, 2007, Under Notification No. 14/2006-Customs.</h1> The notification amends the previous notification No. 14/2006-Customs dated March 1, 2006, under the Customs Act, 1962. It revises the customs tariff rates for various types of upholstery and other fabrics, specifying either a 12.5% duty or a fixed rate per square meter or kilogram, whichever is higher. The changes affect entries numbered 8, 9, 10, 11, 26, 29, 30, 82, 83, 84, 85, 93, 94, 95, and 96 in the original notification, detailing specific fabric types and corresponding duty rates. These amendments take effect from January 1, 2007.
