of <h1>Shamshabad Designated as Customs Airport for Import and Export Operations Effective July 4, 2006, per Amended Notification.</h1> The Central Board of Excise and Customs has amended a previous government notification to designate Shamshabad, a village in Ranga Reddy District near Hyderabad, as a Customs Airport for all purposes. This decision, effective from July 4, 2006, allows for the unloading of imported goods and the loading of export goods or any class of such goods at Shamshabad. This amendment is part of the ongoing updates to the notification initially issued on November 21, 1994, and last amended on May 3, 2006.
