Commissioner of Customs Kanpur Appointed for Adjudication of Show Cause Notice Under Section 4(1) of Customs Act 1962

The Central Board of Excise and Customs has appointed the Commissioner of Customs, Central Excise and Service Tax, Kanpur, as the Commissioner of Customs (Port Imports) at Customs House, Chennai. This appointment is for the adjudication of a specified show cause notice related to M/s Pioneer Exports and others. The notice, issued by the Additional Director General of the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence, Lucknow Zonal Unit, is dated February 22, 2006. The appointment is made under the powers conferred by section 4(1) of the Customs Act, 1962, as per Notification No. 58/2006 (N.T.) dated May 26, 2006.
