of <h1>New Exchange Rates for Currency Conversion Under Customs Act, 1962 Effective April 1, 2006</h1> The notification issued on March 28, 2006, under the Customs Act, 1962, establishes the exchange rates for converting foreign currencies into Indian Rupees for imported goods effective April 1, 2006. It supersedes the previous notification dated February 23, 2006. The exchange rates are specified for various currencies, including the Australian Dollar at 31.85 INR, Canadian Dollar at 38.50 INR, Euro at 54.15 INR, and US Dollar at 44.85 INR, among others. For the Japanese Yen, the rate is set at 38.55 INR for 100 units.
