of <h1>Government Amends Service Tax Notification: Telephones for Armenian Embassy Diplomats Now Covered Under Section 93 of Finance Act, 1994.</h1> The Central Government has amended Notification No. 5/96-Service Tax, dated April 3, 1996, under the authority of section 93 of the Finance Act, 1994. The amendment introduces a new clause in the proviso, specifying that serial No. 98, concerning Armenia, will apply exclusively to telephones used by the Embassy and mission members with diplomatic rank. Additionally, the Schedule is updated to include serial No. 98 for Armenia. This amendment is made in the public interest and is documented in Notification No. 05/2002 Service Tax, dated May 8, 2002.
