of <h1>Customs Act 1962: New Foreign Currency Conversion Rates for Imports Effective February 1, 2006, Superseding Previous Notification</h1> Notification No. 5/2006 - Customs (N.T.) issued on January 25, 2006, under the Customs Act, 1962, revises the exchange rates for converting foreign currencies into Indian rupees for imported goods, effective February 1, 2006. This supersedes the previous notification No.110/2005-NT-Customs. The new rates are detailed in two schedules: Schedule I lists rates for currencies including the Australian Dollar (33.55 INR), US Dollar (44.45 INR), and Euro (54.65 INR), among others. Schedule II specifies the rate for the Japanese Yen at 38.80 INR per unit.
