<h1>India Updates Foreign Currency to INR Conversion Rates for Imports Effective November 1, 2005, Under Customs Act 1962.</h1> The Government of India, through Notification No. 95/2005-Customs (N.T.), has established new exchange rates for converting foreign currencies into Indian Rupees for imported goods, effective from November 1, 2005. This supersedes the previous notification No. 83/2005-NT-Customs dated September 27, 2005. The rates are specified for various currencies, including the US Dollar at 45.30 INR, Euro at 54.40 INR, and Japanese Yen at 39.35 INR for 100 units. The notification is issued under the authority of the Customs Act, 1962, and is signed by the Under Secretary to the Government of India.
