<h1>New Exchange Rates for Currency Conversion under Customs Act 1962 Effective October 1, 2005</h1> The notification issued on 27th September 2005 by the Government of India, under the Customs Act, 1962, establishes the exchange rates for converting foreign currencies into Indian rupees for imported goods, effective from 1st October 2005. It supersedes the previous notification dated 26th August 2005. The rates are specified for various currencies, including the Australian Dollar (33.55 INR), Canadian Dollar (37.75 INR), Euro (53.30 INR), Pound Sterling (78.50 INR), US Dollar (44.15 INR), and Japanese Yen (39.40 INR per 100 units), among others, as detailed in the appended schedules.
