of <h1>Customs Notification Exempts Lightweight Coated Paper for Magazine Printing from Additional 4% Duty Under Customs Act, 1962</h1> Notification No. 79/2006-Customs, dated August 8, 2006, amends Notification No. 20/2006-Customs to exempt light weight coated (LWC) paper weighing up to 70 g/m^2 from an additional customs duty of 4%. This exemption applies to LWC paper imported by actual users for magazine printing. The amendment is made under the authority of the Customs Act, 1962, and is deemed necessary in the public interest by the Central Government. The principal notification was initially published on March 1, 2006, and had been previously amended on March 6, 2006.
