of <h1>Customs Notification Amended to Include NATRIP Under Project Imports for Economic Development</h1> The Central Government has amended the customs notification No. 42/96-Customs to include the National Automotive Testing, Research and Development Infrastructure Project (NATRIP) under Project Imports. This amendment is made under the powers conferred by the Customs Tariff Act, 1975, specifically targeting the economic development of the country. The notification, dated May 24, 2006, adds NATRIP as serial number 34 in the list of projects eligible for customs exemptions. This change follows the last amendment made on March 1, 2006, under notification No. 18/2006-Customs.
