of <h1>Amendment to Customs Notification: Subbed Polyester Base Imports for X-ray and Art Films Exempt from Duties</h1> The Central Government has issued amendments to the notification No. 21/2002-Customs, dated 1st March 2002, under the Customs Act, 1962. The amendment, effective from 17th April 2006, introduces a new entry in the notification's table. Entry 544 pertains to the import of subbed polyester base by a specified company for manufacturing medical or industrial X-ray films and graphic art films, which will now be exempt from customs duties. This amendment follows a previous modification made by notification No. 28/2006-Customs, dated 20th March 2006.
