Amendment Exempts Goods for India-Pakistan and India-Bangladesh Bus Service Agreements Under Notification No. 2/2006-Customs
Notification No. 2/2006-Customs, dated 17th January 2006, amends Notification No. 4/99-Customs from 8th January 1999. Exercising powers under the Customs Act, 1962, the Central Government modifies the notification to substitute clause (a) in the Table's column (3). The amendment specifies that goods imported under agreements for bus services between India and Pakistan (New Delhi-Lahore, Amritsar-Lahore, Amritsar-Nankana Sahib) and India and Bangladesh (Calcutta-Dhaka) are exempted. This amendment aims to facilitate transportation agreements between these countries.
