of <h1>Customs Notification Amended: Exemptions for HAL's Imports of Jet Trainer Machinery and Equipment under Customs Act 1962</h1> The Central Government has amended notification No. 39/96-Customs, dated July 23, 1996, through Notification No. 66/2005-Customs, dated July 14, 2005. This amendment, made under the Customs Act, 1962, adds new entries to the existing notification. It grants exemptions for the import of machinery, equipment, instruments, components, and spares for the manufacture or repair of Advanced Jet Trainer (HAWK-115 Y) and Adour Mark 871-07 engines, as well as capital equipment for setting up facilities for Intermediate Jet Trainers (HJT-36). These exemptions apply to imports by Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL).
