of <h1>India Hikes Duty on Stainless Pattis/Pattas to 40,000 per Machine Monthly Under Rule 15 of Excise Rules 2002.</h1> The Government of India, through the Ministry of Finance, has issued Notification No. 5/2013-Central Excise, amending Notification No. 17/2007-Central Excise. This amendment increases the compound levy rate of duty on stainless pattis/pattas from thirty thousand rupees to forty thousand rupees per cold rolling machine per month. The amendment is made under the authority of Rule 15 of the Central Excise Rules, 2002, and is intended to be published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary.
