of <h1>Tea and Tea Waste Exempted from Additional Customs Duty under Notification No. 17/2005-Customs, per Finance Act Section 128.</h1> The Central Government, exercising its authority under the Customs Act, 1962, and the Finance Act, 2003, has issued Notification No. 17/2005-Customs dated March 1, 2005, exempting tea and tea waste from the entire additional customs duty. This decision is made in the public interest, removing the levy under sub-section (1) of section 128 of the Finance Act, 2003.
