of <h1>Central Government Appoints Enforcement Officers for Foreign Exchange Regulation Act Cases by Contravention Value</h1> The Central Government has appointed specific officers from the Directorate of Enforcement under the Department of Revenue to adjudicate cases of contravention under the repealed Foreign Exchange Regulation Act, 1973. This appointment supersedes previous notifications, except for actions already taken. The officers are designated based on the amount or value of contravention: Director and Special Director for amounts exceeding five crore rupees, Additional Director for amounts between three and five crore rupees, Joint Director for amounts between one and three crore rupees, Deputy Director for amounts between fifty lakh and one crore rupees, and Assistant Director for amounts up to fifty lakh rupees.
