of <h1>Government Amends Notification No. 12/99-Customs to Add New Entry Under Section 28A of Customs Act, 1962</h1> The Central Government has amended Notification No. 12/99-Customs (NT) dated February 5, 1999, under the powers granted by Section 28A of the Customs Act, 1962. This amendment, issued on October 13, 2004, adds new entries to the annexure of the original notification. Specifically, it includes a new entry for a company, which has imported two Autoconers with a differential duty payable of 26,75,120 INR. The amendment is deemed necessary in the public interest and is formalized by the Under Secretary to the Government of India.
