of <h1>India Amends Service Tax Rules: ST-3 Form to Cover April-June 2012 Only, Due by October 25, 2012.</h1> The Government of India, through the Ministry of Finance, has issued Notification No. 47/2012-Service Tax, amending the Service Tax Rules, 1994. This amendment, effective upon its publication in the Official Gazette, modifies rule 7, sub-rule (2), by inserting a proviso. This proviso mandates that the Form 'ST-3' to be submitted by October 25, 2012, will only cover the period from April 1 to June 30, 2012. This change is part of the Service Tax (Fourth Amendment) Rules, 2012, under the authority of the Finance Act, 1994.
