of <h1>Amendment to Central Excise Notification: LPG Distribution Now Includes Indian Oil, Hindustan Petroleum, Bharat Petroleum Effective 18th Sept 2012.</h1> The Government of India has issued Notification No. 36/2012-Central Excise, amending Notification No. 12/2012-Central Excise dated 17th March 2012. This amendment, effective from 18th September 2012, modifies the entry against Sl. No. 81 in the original notification. It replaces the reference to subsidized prices under the public distribution system and the Domestic LPG Subsidy Scheme, 2002, with a new provision that specifies distribution by Indian Oil Corporation Limited, Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited, or Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited. This change is made under the authority of the Central Excise Act, 1944, for public interest.
