of <h1>Amendment to SEZ Rules 2003: Rule 2 Updated to Redefine 'Foreign Trade Policy' Effective September 1, 2004</h1> The Central Government has amended the Special Economic Zones Rules, 2003, through Notification No. 102/2004-Customs (N.T) dated September 6, 2004. The amendment, titled the Special Economic Zones (Fifth Amendment) Rules, 2004, takes effect upon publication in the Official Gazette. It revises Rule 2 to redefine 'Foreign Trade Policy' as the policy effective from September 1, 2004, to March 31, 2009, as published by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry. Additionally, the term 'Export and Import Policy' is replaced with 'Foreign Trade Policy' throughout the document.
